Every Year October month is celebrated as Breast cancer awareness month
It is called Pink October in which every cancer hospital will do cancer awareness activities.
Guru cancer hospital Madurai planning to celebrate the Cancer survivors get together to create the cancer awareness to the peoples and making hope of life to the cancer patients.
On this occasion we invited Chief Guest. DR.PRAVIN TOGADIA CANCER SURGEON and INTERNATIONAL WORKING PRESIDENT VISWA HINDU PARISHAD, and Guest of Honor DR.D.MARUTHU PANDIAN, Dean, Madurai Medical College, Madurai.
Chief guest will address the survivors and gift to them, there will be a interactive session with patients and doctors and awareness program. More than 100 cancer survivors getting cured from guru hospital will participate and share their experience.

Our Hospital Chairman Dr.S.G Balamurugan got Central Government Swachh Bharat Achievement Award From Home Minister Rajnath Singh
The Swachh Bharat Achievement award was given on 21.12.15 at home minister office at parliament by honourable union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
It was given as an appreciation for Cancer Care Service in Rural India.

Inauguration of department of Radiotherapy at Guru Hospital – Madurai
Recently a State-of-art radiotherapy equipment”linear accelerator” has been installed at Guru Hospital successfully. It is a most sophisticated piece of equipment incorporating world class technology to treat cancer effectively. The inauguration event of the radiotherapy department happened on 30/08/2015 presided by chevalier Dr. R. AarunachalamMudaliar as Chief Guest. Special guests on the dais were Dr.ShashiBaliyan, Managig Director of Clearmedi Healthcare Pvt Ltd., former judge T.N. Vallinayagam who has awarded for issuing highest number of judgements in his work period, Chairman of velammal medical collegeM.V. Muthuramalingam and popular cine actor “power start” Seenivasan. On the start of the auspicious journey a team of five people including ‘sathyajothy’ films chairman T.G. Thiyagarajan, famous cine director R.K. Selvamani, Mrs. G. ValliyammalGurusamipilai, former judge T.N. Vallinayagam and Mr. R. Balasubramaniam lighted the kuthuvillaku praying good deeds favour all efforts of Guru Hospital. The radiotherapy treatment has been initiated by one of the favourite director of Tamil Film industry S. A. Chandrasekar. Subsequently the treatment ward of radiotherapy department has been opened by Mrs.RojaSelvamani, one of the most successful actresses of Tamil and Telugu industry. This event has been presidedby Mayor of Dindugal District V. Marutharaj, R. Chandrasekar, Appu Hotels director, vishaal-de-maal chairman R. Elangovan,P.T.R. engineering college chairman Dhanavellan, BodiRavipillai, Mangayarkarasi education head P. Asokkumar, Vikram college of engineering chairman M. K. S. Seenivasan, Execellent traders owner Harimaathavan, Tamil Nadu JallikattuPeravaiThalaivar P. Rajasekaran, Madurai city Sub Inspector A. Manivanan, SomutravelsownerSomasundaramPillai and lot more important persons of Madurai city, famous and successful doctors have taken part in the event and added their warm wishes to the hospital.
